How to Multitask with Running Applications in Nokia E61i and other Symbian S60 3rd Edition phones
One of the great things about having a smart-phone is multitasking, but in Nokia’s Symbian S60 3rd Edition phones this feature is hidden away.
It’s actually quite easy to see running applications and multitask. You can easily switch from one running application to another without having to shut down anything.
Pic showing the Menu Button:

Simply do this, on your Nokia E61i or other S60 3rd Edition phones, keep the MENU button pressed for about 4 seconds. Instead of opening the MENU, the phone will show you (on the left side of the screen) which applications are currently running.

Now you can go to Standby Screen without shutting down your Web Browser or simply switch between other applications without shutting anything down.
This feature will also help you shut down unnecessary applications which you are not using and save some memory in your phone.
Note: Remember, running too many applications at the same time slows down your phone as it eats up too much RAM. RAM has nothing to do with the memory in your MEMORY CARD. So even if you have loads of space in your MEMORY CARD, running too many applications WILL slow down your phone.
