    How do you compare the prices of handsets given by each operator. Mobilink is giving locked sets whereas ufone is giving unlocked sets. Can you give price comparison of handsets offered by three of them??

    @Tipu
    I had checked the prices of Blackberry handsets offered by Mobilink a while back and the list is lying around somewhere. I’ll check if I can find it, otherwise I’ll check up with Mobilink, Ufone and Warid again about the prices as well and let you know, but you’ll have to wait for that as I’m very busy nowadays.

    By the way, if your handset supports Blackberry software, then you can buy your own set from the market and use Mobilinks Blackberry service on it. For example, my Nokia E61i supports Blackberry software, so I can simply go to Mobilink and get the service activated.

    Check Mobilinks website to see if your phone supports it.

    If you are in a hurry, then you could easily visit the Customer Care centres and get the prices.

    Moblogpk, here are the prices of the sets being offered by Mobilink :) Tipu can correct me if there have been any most recent changes to these figures:

    8700g Rs 18,000
    8100 (Black/White Pearl) – Rs 24,000
    8110 (Pearl with GPS) – Rs 27,000
    8120 (Pearl with Wi-Fi) – Rs 27,000
    8800 (Huron with GPS) – Rs 29,000
    8820 (Huron with Wi-Fi and GPS) – Rs 34,000
    8310 (Curve with GPS, Silver) – Rs 29,000
    8320 (Curve with Wi-Fi, Gold) – Rs 29,000

    The Bold 9000 is going to be available by mid Sept and is expected to have a price tag of Rs. 50,000/-

    Hope this helps.

    @Fauzan
    Hi! Thanks a bunch for the price list. Insh’Allah hopefully it will help Tipu out. :)

    I’m very busy nowadays so haven’t gotten a chance to check the prices myself and I still can’t find the price list which I had. Thanks for taking out the time to write out your price list here.

    I’ll (hopefully) get the prices for the rest when I can.

    Have a great day! :)

    Black Berry is much cheeper in the foreign countries.And In our country our cellelur companies r just earning 100% profit on them.
    for example: BB 8100Pearl is for 50 $ in Malaysia BB 8310 is 67 $ in malasia These all cellular companies r just making us fools.So why would we purchase from them??

      @Raja Atta-Ur-Rehman
      LoLs! :) No one is forcing us to buy the Blackberry’s from them. If we don’t like the prices, then we don’t get it. It’s thats simple.

      In foreign countries, to attract customers, the companies offer SIM-locked Blackberry’s which are available on a Contract. So for customer retention, they provide Blackberry’s for an initial lower price but the customers become bound to the company for a long time, i.e, 1 or 2 years, depending on the terms & conditions of the contract.

      In Pakistan, almost all companies (except Mobilink) are providing Unlocked Blackberry’s with Full 12 months Authorised Warrenty, that is why it’s expensive.

      We can find many Unlocked Blackberry’s in Pakistan’s OPEN Market which are cheap, but they have no Warrenty.
