Unreleased Nokia 5800 XpressMedia phone seen in the “The Dark Knight” movie

July 27, 2008

The yet-to-be released Nokia Tube 5800 XpressMedia touchscreen phone looks exciting! :)

Nokia is already creating public awareness about this unreleased phone, and it can be seen in the new Batman movie called “The Dark Knight” in Morgan Freeman’s hand.

Check out the screenshot of the scene showing Nokia Tube 5800 in The Dark Knight in Erazor’s Blog

This new phone will be Nokia’s first attempt at touchscreen and it’s OS is S60 5th Edition, so it’s quite possible that there might be a few bugs (which will be fixed in subsequent updates I’m sure), but if we ignore that, it’ll be a great buy.

I absolutely love the large 3.2 inch screen of this phone. I hope the new OS will be stable, and the reviews turn out to be positive. Let’s hope for the best :)

    @Zaby
    No idea yet.

    The release dates in Pakistan all depends on customer demand. If there is a high demand and the distributers know it, then they release it as soon as possible.

    The Nokia E71 was a good example of ‘customer demand’. Everyone I knew were calling United Mobile and Advance mobile to know the release dates of E71 even before it was released worldwide. So it got released in Pakistan as soon as the rest of the world.

    Keep checking with the Authorised dealers so that they know there is a demand for it, and I think we’ll see the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone here really soon as well. Even if there is no demand for it, it will be a little late, but hopefully we’ll see it released in Pakistan sooner or later :)

    @Zafar
    The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone is easily available in Pakistan now, and the estimated price is anywhere between Rs.31,000 to Rs.32,500 depending on Warranty.

    When I last checked in Jinnah Market in Islamabad, it was for Rs.32,000.
