Nokia N82 Black camera in action at KC Grill, Islamabad – Sample Pictures

January 19, 2009

Went for lunch to KC Grill restaurant in Islamabad, Pakistan. The presentation was good and the food was okay.

I took a couple of pics of the food, etc with my Nokia N82 Black, which has a 5 Megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens & Xenon Flash. All of the pictures were taken using Auto Scene Modes, which turned out quite nice.

I loved how the Auto White Balance worked well. Even my Sony digicam needs manual adjustment to get it right the first time. Noise levels in ISO 800 pics arn’t too bad. Putting the picture through “Neat Image” software will easily fix the noise levels.

The N82 cannot replace my Digital SLR, but has happily managed to take over my Point-n-Shoot Sony cam :)

Full-Size, Untouched sample pictures taken with the Nokia N82. Click to enlarge the images.

Scene Mode: Auto

Chicken Ala Kiev - Nicely cooked & delicious… Picture turned out well, but slightly over-exposed due to direct flash.

Cheese [mustard dip] Fondue  As I’ve had the opportunity of eating (Halal) Cheese Fondue numerous times when I was living in Switzerland, I was expecting a pot of hot melted cheese with the works when I ordered this, but much to my dismay, KC Grill’s Fondue presentation had no Fondue pot, it didn’t look or smell like Fondue and certainly didn’t taste like it either :P It was more like a nice “Mustard Cheese Dip with Bread & Sautéed vegetables”

Scene Mode: Close-Up
ISO: 100
F-Number: 2.8
White Balance: Auto
Flash: Flash Fired [Auto]

The Auto Close-Up mode did its job well, and the Menu pic turned out good.

Flash: Flash Fired [Auto]

KC Grill restaurant, Islamabad – Inside view – It was a little dark inside the restaurant so I used the Auto Night Mode which raised the ISO to 800 & caused some Noise in the pictures

    @Moblogpk.

    Hello and happy new year!

I decided not to go with the E71 anymore. thinking of settling for the 5800 instead.Reason being that every single person has the E71over here,it’s become too popular.

either ways, i’ll let you know.

Hi and a very happy new year to you too! :)

Yea, the Nokia E71 is very popular here as well, but the Nokia 5800 looks like its going to win the contest and become a best seller as the price is so great for a Touch-screen phone! :)

If you get the Nokia 5800, drop in a few words about how you like it. I still haven’t used one as yet, so I have no idea about the speed etc.

Infact, will be expecting you to give me a quick personal review about any of the phones you get :)

    Lol.
Will do. I agree with you though, the price is really not bad for a touch screen phone.

Infact, im going to add you on my messenger soon as i put fring on it.(hopefully it should work).

Right. Unboxed my 5800 about 2 hours ago and i’m just coming up for air! lol. the phone comes fully exuipped with.. well everything and more. headphones, lovely case, remote control, small stand (for watching movies i presume)., all sorts.

It’s not as smooth as the iphone, but the touch screen is not bad. the sound is cool. tricky keypad though. oh and i cant put fring on it. not feeling too god about that just now.

more feed back soon as a figure some more stuff out.

Hi there. Been trying to get acustomed to my 5800. Fring still does not work , so i’m still waiting for that. In the meantime, i still have it on my E61i so thats ok.

Unfortunately, i’v been having trouble viewing videos on the phone. i’v just coped a movie onto the memory card and it’s file format is not supported. Any ideas?
